2. Apocalypse - Bill Smog of Pasadena, MD : Those scans that turned up of his old zine are also brilliant. The only man who’s still getting at what it means to be a man.
3. Watch the Throne - The Throne : Big Ghost speaks for me.
4. The Gathering - Arboretum : good dude, good band.
5. Kaputt - Destroyer : Wish I could’ve listened to this more but life intrudes. I’ll also give him props for relentlessly giving props to Bill in interviews. Keep watching the throne, Dan Bejar.
6. Humor Risk - Cass : DON’T YOU EVER SLEEP IN A BED? His productivity is making everyone else look like mongrels. Somebody confiscate this man’s honda accord.
7. Lia Ices - Grown Unknown : In a pre Lana Del Ray sphere, I somehow enjoyed this.
8. John Vanderslice - White Wilderness : Alumni points. Can’t believe he actually liked it here though.
9. Pujol - Nasty Brutish and Short : Gotta love Hobbesians who grew up without broadband internet.
10. Tom Waits - Bad As Me. I haven’t gotten my record in the mail yet but I’m putting this here pre-emptively.
